Overview

Oasis Health is a newly launched startup founded by pharmacists at one of the largest health insurance companies. They plan to license and white-label our (Vianova AI) web dashboard to enhance their patient engagement process. Their team, consisting of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, conducts patient assessments via phone calls 1 to 2 times per year. To improve efficiency, they aim to integrate email and SMS automation into their workflow. Having secured their first client with 1,000 patients, they are seeking to launch their platform as soon as possible.

My Role

Working alongside a project owner and manager, I led client meetings to understand needs and define project goals. I conducted research, created wireframes, and iterated based on client feedback. I helped set expectations around scope and budget, and acted as a liaison between clients, engineers, and executives to align on what was feasible. Finally, I delivered a functional prototype that clients could use to pitch to investors and acquire early customers while the product was being developed.

As Vianova AI expands beyond specialist clinics, partnering with Oasis Health allows them to enter the health insurance RPM space, unlocking a sister market and reaching a broader patient population through insurer-aligned care models, resulting in major product changes.

Since all of our client’s requirements weren’t feasible within their budget and timeline, we scoped the platform into phases, allowing Oasis Health to launch with essential features while leaving room for growth and future enhancements.

02 Adapting Platform

We audited the original Vianova platform to identify reusable components and redesigned only what was needed to meet Oasis Health’s pharmacy-led, insurance-focused use case. In the middle of wireframing, Vianova also launched a new design system they would be using. So, we also adapted our current wireframing for consistency with our new design system.

Outcome

We launched the first version of the Oasis Health platform, enabling the team to successfully integrate it into their operations. As the company grows, they plan to return in order to expand and refine the platform for version 2

Oasis Health was able to secure a client with 800 staff members and successfully onboard 4,000 initial patients
